Uma coisa que sempre lembro do vôzinho (João da Costa Magueta), português nascido na linda Praia de Mira (Concelho da Vila de Mira) - pt, são os filhoses de abóbora que ele preparava com muito carinho. A receita é simples mas tem muita tradição e o sabor é delicioso.

Esta receita com um bom café do cerrado mineiro, não tem coisa melhor.

Filhós de abóbora
 
Ingredientes:
1, 5 kg abóbora menina
500 gr de farinha
25 gr de fermento de padeiro
sal q.b.
açúcar e canela q.b.
óleo

Modo de confeccionar:

Descasque a  abóbora e corte-a aos bocadinhos. De seguida coza-a em água. Depois de cozida deixe-a escorrer. Desfaça a abóbora e adicione a farinha,  o fermento e uma pitada de sal. Amasse bem, deixando a levedar num lugar quente.
Fritam-se numa frigideira com bastante óleo.
Polvilham-se com açúcar e canela.
